Never used silk screens or silk screen medium before? Not a problem! Watch Mayco's video demo here.
They will go over the basics and show you how easy it is to do!
Traditional silkscreens are made using an emulsion-coated mesh that, when exposed to light, burns the image onto the screen. When these screens are used in ceramics, they can degrade quickly due to the abrasiveness of the frits and clays used to make the screen paste. Mayco uses a thermal process to burn images onto the screen- no emulsion coat to degrade.
